Shri Guru Nanak Public School (SGNPS) is an English medium co-educational day school nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. It imparts all round education from class Nursery to XII. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Shri Guru Nanak Public School (SGNPS) is an English Medium Co-educational Senior secondary school affiliated to CBSE Board, established in the year 1998 under the aegis of Shri Guru Nanak Public Shiksha Samiti (Regd.) Premnagar, Dehradun.
This institution is being run by Sikh minority group. The trust/society which looks after the school has eminent educationist environmentalist and prominent personalities who works under the dynamic leadership of the founder Manager Sardar. N.P. SINGH LUTHRA.
After the partition of India 1947, SGNPS society developed a school for girls under the name of Shri Guru Nanak Girls Public Inter College for the empowerment of girls education. Thereafter, as per today's scenario and its demand in the year 1998, SGNPS society opened an English medium School for needy children. The main aim of this Institution is to impart education at affordable cost to the needy. SGNPS is situated at Prem Nagar in the cantonment area of Dehra Dun. It is spread over two acres of land enclosed by the boundary walls with sufficient space for playing and many other school activities. The Management of the school is deeply committed to the cause of education. It has earned name and fame for high academic standard and excellent results in various examinations at different levels (as CPMT,AIEEE,NDA etc). Recently, 'Akshay Vij' a SGNPIAN topped in Uttarakhand and holded 7th rank in India in CA-CPT entrance for CA.
The school has not only the impressive and spacious building but equipped with modern amenities like computer aided learning. It also has a strong team of dedicated, trained and experienced teachers. Besides this, the school has well defined laborataries (computer, physics, chemistry, biology, maths) that are equipped with the latest information technology tools, Well Stocked Library, Music Room, Art and Craft room, Play Room, Sports Room, and well equipped dispensary to provide First Aid facility. The school imparts education on modern scientific lines with the help of various teaching aids and provide students various opportunities to get engaged in wide variety of activities. - A student is expected to be polite, friendly and well behaved at all times.
- A Student suffering from contagious disease is not allowed to attend the school unless he/she gets the medical fitness certificate from the qualified doctor.
- School is half home, so every student is expected to take care of the school belongings and maintain cleanliness in the campus.
- Spoken English is must.
- Use of mobile phones, electronic items, plastics is strictly forbidden in the school campus.
- It is compulsory for all the students to be present at morning assembly.
